Tips for completing the Quran this Ramadan
How many pages is one Juz?
One Juz is approximately 20 pages in the standard Madani Mushaf. The Quran has 604 pages total across 30 Juz. Reading one Juz per day means roughly 20 pages — split across your day, that could be just 4 pages after each of the five daily prayers.
Split your reading throughout the day
Many Muslims find it easier to spread their reading: a few pages after Fajr, a few after Dhuhr, and the rest after Taraweeh. The Prophet ﷺ would review the entire Quran with Jibreel during Ramadan (Sahih Bukhari 4998).
Read with understanding
If you read Arabic, aim to understand what you recite. If not, read the translation alongside. Allah says: “Do they not reflect upon the Quran?” (Quran 4:82). Every verse you reflect on carries immense reward.
Don't stress about perfection
If you miss a day, double up the next. If 30 Juz feels too much, try 15 (half a Juz per day) or even 10. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if small.” (Sahih Bukhari 6464)
