Al-Ankabut (The Spider)

Verse 26of 69

۞ فَـَٔامَنَ لَهُۥ لُوطٌۭ ۘ وَقَالَ إِنِّى مُهَاجِرٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّىٓ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ﴿٢٦

Translation (Sahih International)

And Lot believed him. [Abraham] said, "Indeed, I will emigrate to [the service of] my Lord. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

۞ فَـَٔامَنَfaāmanaAnd believed
لَهُۥlahu[in] him
لُوطٌۭ ۘlūṭunLut
وَقَالَwaqālaand he said
إِنِّىinnīIndeed I (am)
مُهَاجِرٌmuhājirunemigrating
إِلَىٰilāto
رَبِّىٓ ۖrabbīmy Lord
إِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, He

ٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzuthe All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmuthe All-Wise

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

The Faith of Lut and His Emigration with IbrahimAllah tells us that Lut believed in Ibrahim. It was said that he was the son of Ibrahim's brother, and that his name was Lut bin Haran bin Azar. None of Ibrahim's people believed in Ibrahim besides Lut and Sarah the wife of Ibrahim.
