Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread)

Verse 16of 120

يَهْدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ﴿١٦﴾

Translation (Sahih International)

By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path.

إِلَىilāto
ٱلنُّورِl-nūrithe light
بِإِذْنِهِۦbi-idh'nihiby His permission
وَيَهْدِيهِمْwayahdīhimand guides them
إِلَىٰilāto
صِرَٰطٍۢṣirāṭin(the) way
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢmus'taqīmin(the) straight

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

Explaining the Truth Through the Messenger and the Qur'anAllah states that He sent His Messenger Muhammad ﷺ with the guidance and the religion of truth to all the people of the earth, the Arabs and non-Arabs, lettered and unlettered. Allah also states that He sent Muhammad with clear evidences and the distinction between truth and falsehood.
