Al-Waqi'ah (The Inevitable)
Verse 27of 96
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ﴿٢٧﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?
Word-by-word meaning
وَأَصْحَـٰبُwa-aṣḥābuAnd (the) companions
ٱلْيَمِينِl-yamīni(of) the right
مَآmāwhat
أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(are the) companions
ٱلْيَمِينِl-yamīni(of) the right
Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
The Reward of Those on the Right AfterAllah mentioned the final destination of those foremost in faith, the nearest to Him, He next mentioned the end of those on the right, the righteous believers. Maymun bin Mihran said that those on the right side are lesser in rank than the foremost in faith.
