An-Naml (The Ant)

Verse 93of 93

وَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ﴿٩٣

Translation (Sahih International)

And say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do."

Word-by-word meaning

وَقُلِwaquliAnd say
ٱلْحَمْدُl-ḥamduAll praise (be)
لِلَّهِlillahito Allah
سَيُرِيكُمْsayurīkumHe will show you
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦāyātihiHis Signs
فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا ۚfataʿrifūnahāand you will recognize them
وَمَاwamāAnd your Lord is not
رَبُّكَrabbukaAnd your Lord is not
بِغَـٰفِلٍbighāfilinunaware
عَمَّاʿammāof what
تَعْمَلُونَtaʿmalūnayou do

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

The Command to worship Allah and to call People with the Qur'anAllah commands His Messenger to say:إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ رَبِّ هَذِهِ الْبَلْدَةِ الَّذِى حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُ كُلُّ شَىءٍ(I have been commanded only to worship the Lord of this city, Who has sanctified it and to Whom belongs everything.
