Ar-Rum (The Romans)

Verse 58of 60

وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍۢ ۚ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍۢ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ﴿٥٨

Translation (Sahih International)

And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muhammad], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers."

Word-by-word meaning

وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verily
ضَرَبْنَاḍarabnāWe (have) set forth

مُبْطِلُونَmub'ṭilūnafalsifiers

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

Parables in the Qur'an and how the Disbelievers do not learn from themوَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَـذَا الْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ(And indeed We have set forth for mankind, in this Qur'an every kind of parable.) means, `We have explained the truth to them and have made it clear to them, and have set forth for them parables so that they may understand the truth and follow it.
