Verse 66of 98
وَيَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا﴿٦٦﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
And the disbeliever says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive?"
Word-by-word meaning
وَيَقُولُwayaqūluAnd says
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُl-insānu[the] man
أَءِذَاa-idhāWhat! When
مَاmāWhat! When
مِتُّmittuI am dead
لَسَوْفَlasawfasurely will
أُخْرَجُukh'rajuI be brought forth
حَيًّاḥayyanalive
Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
Man's Amazement about Life after Death and the Refutation against this AmazementAllah, the Exalted, informs that mankind is amazed that he could be returned to life after death and he thinks that this is something farfetched.
