Ya-Sin (Ya-Sin)

Verse 11of 83

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍۢ وَأَجْرٍۢ كَرِيمٍ﴿١١

Translation (Sahih International)

You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

إِنَّمَاinnamāOnly

وَخَشِىَwakhashiyaand fears

بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖbil-ghaybiin the unseen
فَبَشِّرْهُfabashir'huSo give him glad tidings
بِمَغْفِرَةٍۢbimaghfiratinof forgiveness
وَأَجْرٍۢwa-ajrinand a reward
كَرِيمٍkarīminnoble

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

The State of Those Who are decreed to be among the DoomedAllah says: `In the case of those who are decreed to be among the doomed, when it comes to the matter of being guided, We have made them like a person who has a chain around his neck and whose hands are tied together beneath his chin so that his head is lifted up.' As Allah says:فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ(so that their heads are raised up.
