Seeking Paradise and Protection from Hellfire

Arabic
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ
Transliteration
Allahumma inni as'alukal-jannata wa a'udhu bika minan-nar.
Translation
O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and I seek refuge in You from the Fire.

Sunan Abu Dawud 792
When you ask Allah for Paradise, Paradise says: 'O Allah, admit him.' When you seek refuge from the Fire, the Fire says: 'O Allah, protect him.' Ramadan is the month when the gates of Paradise are opened.
