Supplications
Arabic Text
الدُّعَاءُ سِلاَحُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَعِمَادُ الدِّينِ وَنُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ
English Translation
“Supplication is the weapon of the believer, the pillar of the religion, and the light of the heavens and the earth.”

إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَيِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ يَسْتَحْيِي إِذَا رَفَعَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَيْهِ يَدَيْهِ أَنْ يَرُدَّهُمَا صِفْرًا خَائِبَتَيْنِ
Allah is Shy and Generous. When a person raises his hands to Him, He is shy to return them empty and disappointed.

ادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَنْتُمْ مُوقِنُونَ بِالإِجَابَةِ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَجِيبُ دُعَاءً مِنْ قَلْبٍ غَافِلٍ لاَهٍ
Call upon Allah with certainty that He will respond, and know that Allah does not answer a supplication from a heedless, distracted heart.

لاَ يَرُدُّ الْقَضَاءَ إِلاَّ الدُّعَاءُ وَلاَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْعُمُرِ إِلاَّ الْبِرُّ
Nothing repels divine decree except supplication, and nothing extends one's life except righteousness.
