Al-Buruj (The Mansions of the Stars)
Verse 11of 22
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ﴿١١﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.
Word-by-word meaning
Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
The Reward of the Righteous, and the Harsh Seizing of the Disbelieving Enemies of AllahAllah informs about His believing servants thatلَهُمْ جَنَّـتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَـرُ(for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow.) This is the opposite of what he has prepared for His enemies of Fire and Hell. Thus, He says,ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ(That is the supreme success.) Then Allah says,إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ (Verily, the punishment of your Lord is severe and painful.
