Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage)
Verse 6of 78
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ﴿٦﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent
Word-by-word meaning
ذَٰلِكَdhālikaThat
بِأَنَّbi-anna(is) because
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
هُوَhuwaHe
ٱلْحَقُّl-ḥaqu(is) the Truth
وَأَنَّهُۥwa-annahuAnd that He
يُحْىِyuḥ'yī[He] gives life
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰl-mawtā(to) the dead
وَأَنَّهُۥwa-annahuand that He
عَلَىٰʿalā(is) over
كُلِّkullievery
شَىْءٍۢshayinthing
قَدِيرٌۭqadīrunAll-Powerful
Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
Evidence of the Resurrection in the creation of Man and of PlantsWhen Allah speaks of disbelief in the Resurrection, He also mentions the evidence of His power and ability to resurrect that is evident from the way He initiates creation.
