Verse 95of 128
وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِعَهْدِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًا ۚ إِنَّمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ﴿٩٥﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
And do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price. Indeed, what is with Allah is best for you, if only you could know.
Word-by-word meaning
Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
If Allah had willed, He would have made all of Humanity one NationAllah says: وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ(And had Allah willed, He would have made you) meaning - O mankind, أُمَّةً وَحِدَةً((all) one nation,) This is like the Ayah: وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لآمَنَ مَن فِى الاٌّرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيعًا(And had your Lord willed, all of those on earth would have believed together.
