Verse 83of 89

فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ﴿٨٣

Translation (Sahih International)

So leave them to converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day which they are promised.

Word-by-word meaning

فَذَرْهُمْfadharhumSo leave them
يَخُوضُوا۟yakhūḍū(to) converse vainly
وَيَلْعَبُوا۟wayalʿabūand play
حَتَّىٰḥattāuntil
يُلَـٰقُوا۟yulāqūthey meet
يَوْمَهُمُyawmahumutheir Day
ٱلَّذِىalladhīwhich
يُوعَدُونَyūʿadūnathey are promised

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِحـم - تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَـبِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ(Ha-Mim. By the manifest Book.) means, plain and clear in both wording and meaning, because it was revealed in the language of the Arabs, which is the most eloquent language for communication among people.
