At-Tawbah (The Repentance)
Verse 59of 129
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا۟ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَقَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ سَيُؤْتِينَا ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ رَٰغِبُونَ﴿٥٩﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
If only they had been satisfied with what Allah and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allah; Allah will give us of His bounty, and [so will] His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allah," [it would have been better for them].

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
Hypocrites question the Integrity of the Messenger when distributing AlmsAllah said next,وَمِنْهُمُ(And of them), among the hypocrites,مَّن يَلْمِزُكَ(who accuse you) or question your integrity,فِى(concerning), division of,الصَّدَقَـتِ(the alms), when you divide them. They question your fairness, even though it is they who deserve that their integrity be questioned. The hypocrites do not do this in defense of the religion, but to gain more for themselves.
