Ghafir (The Forgiver)
Verse 68of 85
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ﴿٦٨﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is.

يُحْىِۦyuḥ'yīgives life
وَيُمِيتُ ۖwayumītuand causes death

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
The Prohibition of Shirk, the Order for Tawhid, and the EvidenceAllah says, `say, O Muhammad, to these idolators, that Allah forbids them to worship anyone, such as these idols and false gods, except Him.
