Verse 76of 98
وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ هُدًۭى ۗ وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًۭا وَخَيْرٌۭ مَّرَدًّا﴿٧٦﴾
Translation (Sahih International)
And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse.
Word-by-word meaning
وَيَزِيدُwayazīduAnd Allah increases
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAnd Allah increases
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ih'tadawaccept guidance
هُدًۭى ۗhudan(in) guidance
وَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُwal-bāqiyātuAnd the everlasting
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُl-ṣāliḥātugood deeds
خَيْرٌkhayrun(are) better
عِندَʿindanear
رَبِّكَrabbikayour Lord
ثَوَابًۭاthawāban(for) reward
وَخَيْرٌۭwakhayrunand better
مَّرَدًّاmaraddan(for) return
Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)
Increasing Guidance of Those Who are guidedAfter Allah mentions the extended time and respite that is allowed to those who are in misguidance, increasing them in misguidance, He informs of the increase in guidance of those who are rightly guided.
