Verse 32of 109

فَذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ إِلَّا ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ﴿٣٢

Translation (Sahih International)

For that is Allah, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?

Word-by-word meaning

فَذَٰلِكُمُfadhālikumuFor that
ٱللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمُrabbukumuyour Lord
ٱلْحَقُّ ۖl-ḥaquthe true
فَمَاذَاfamādhāSo what (can be)
بَعْدَbaʿdaafter
ٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqithe truth
إِلَّاillāexcept
ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ۖl-ḍalāluthe error
فَأَنَّىٰfa-annāSo how
تُصْرَفُونَtuṣ'rafūna(are) you turned away

Commentary (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

The Idolators recognize Allah's Tawhid in Lordship and the Evidence is established against Them through this RecognitionAllah argues that the idolators' recognition of Allah's Oneness in Lordship is an evidence against them, for which they should admit and recognize the Oneness in divinity and worship.
